Phobias

Phobias
What is a phobia? -
A Phobia is a fear of something, a fear that you are really scared about.

What is a fear? -
A fear is something that you are really scared about, you get so worked up
about something that it becomes so bad that you don't like doing it at all/or seeing it at all.

Do you have a fear/phobia? Explain more about it. -
Yes, I have a fear of tunnels, it ties a little bit with Chrostophobia.
I don't really like elevators, they scare me a lot because I am in such a
small space and I feel like I can't get out. With the tunnels I feel like the

top of it is going to crash down and fall on me.

Letter to Santa

LETTER TO SANTA
Image result for christmas tree gif

Dear Santa,
I would love it if the people who do not have much money get a gift that brightens their day. I would
love this because it is sad to think that children who do not have enough to afford christmas treats have to watch everyone else on Christmas open their presents, eat lovely home cooked meals and spend time putting up their christmas trees.

I really want everyone to enjoy this lovely holiday, I want them to feel like they are loved too. I know there is many people around the world that have to put up with this, I think it is time for them to get into the true spirit of Christmas. I think it is really cool how in some local stores have there are big boxes that you donate toys and cool gifts that will get delivered to those that would appreciate and have a great day. A small difference like this can change the world.

From Marleana Henry
Merry Christmas!
And a happy new year

Christmas talent Show

The girl wanted strongly to go to her Christmas talent show, her father had to choose between work or the talent show. At first he chose work, the girl carried on pursuing her dream to dance. At last the girl got sick of her dad paying not much attention at all, so when she storms off to her room the dad finds himself stuck. He has been watching her just not showing it much. He decides to go to the talent show, which was a great decision. When his daughter freezes on stage and almost bursts into tears, her dad jumps into action and starts showing her the moves! The girl cheers up and joins in, in her mind they are dancing on stage together having great fun. They did it together and everything was good, the dad learnt his lesson to pay attention to his daughter more.

  1. What do you think is the girls pasion? - Dance, she loves to move about and have fun on stage.
  2. Why is the Dad so busy? - The Dad is busy with work and chooses to leave his daughters show out of his mind at first.
  3. Where was her mum? - The Mum did not show in the video, I think maybe the Mum had passed away previously.
  4. What advice would you give to the Dad before the show happened? - I would have told him to... pay more attention to his daughter, help her out a bit, encourage her and give her feedback.
  5. How do you think the girl feels when the Dad waggles his fingers on the phone? - She must feel fed-up, sick of getting left out, but she doesn't give up. She strikes back through the whole thing.

List 5 water/summer safety tips:
1. Make sure you swim between the flags at the beach,
2. Swim with an adult incase you drown,
3. Be sunsmart. Wear sunscreen and hats if it is hot, you don't want to get burnt.
4. Make sure you know where the lifeguards are incase you get into trouble.
5. Watch for rips when your in the sea.

Where is your favourite place to swim?
Pool, because it is safer than the ocean and I like heated pools when I am cold.

What is your best summer/swimming memory?
Swimming at the pools when the big floaty is up,
getting sprayed with water and racing someone else and falling off is fun!
I like it when you get the pool to yourself with friends and family.

What do you think the world would be like if…

What do you think the world would be like if…

If kids had tails… There would have to be a special clothes maker for them,
it would be hard to sit on chairs during school.
What would they be called? Because they wouldn't be humans then.

If leaves were fish… If fish grew on trees you would get a lot of random
fish flying onto your head when your walking around,
it would be like the saying 'Look there is a flying pig!'
But instead 'Look there is a flying fish!'

If toes were teeth... It would be like having just gums in your mouth, You wouldn't be able to chew them. The world's foods would have to change, we wouldn't be able to eat things like apples. You would have muscle in your teeth, you would have toenails in your mouth.

Prize Giving or no Prize Giving

Positive: Students won't feel down if they don't get a prize, Kids who don't get a prize won't have to sit there for a very long time.

Negative: Kids could feel like there doing all this work for nothing, There isn't anything as special to end the year with, Without it there isn't anything really cool to acknowledge students who have put there all into all there learning during the year, Kids have a standard that they want to reach but if they don't have a prize giving they haven't got much to reach for.

I Believe there should be an end of year prize giving because
I think parents also look forward to seeing there kids sing and/or dance,
Show there learning, Explain what they have been doing that year,
Grandparents from all over the world like to know what there grandchildren have
achieved during that year. I think there is many reasons why it should still go on,
I think it is also good to acknowledge your pares achievements too.
Just because maybe you don't get a prize doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy for the people that do,
in life you win some and you lose some and that's OK.
